Detailing Flat Black Paint - How?

I was just wondering if flat black paint could be machine polished? It doesn't seem to me that it could be done without effecting the overall look. Here's an example of what kind of flat black paint finish I'm talking about:

Is that just primer? I don't think you'd want to machine polish it as you'll gloss up the finish. I'd just wash it and leave it at that, as I think any LSP would shine it up a bit.

That's what I am thinking, but just wanted to know for surre. :chuckle: :2thumbs:

Black primer looks best when wiped down with WD-40. Spray some liberally on a rag and wipe it around. Then, follow up and give it a light buff to ensure smooth, even coverage. It keeps the primer flat black instead of dull grey.
