Have you dealt with Detaling Dynamics? Is Barron Body Works any better?
I have heard good things from Detailing Dyn., that's why I'm asking.

from what i know detailing dynamics does not complete body work in house. they most likely have a preferred shop that they will send your car out to.

I am sorry but I dont want to speculate on who these use. I have someone that does excellent but as of late he has not been timely of the completion his work plus another little problem I had with him so I can't even send you to anyone or I would.

Do you need to pay $600 per panel for paint from a sub-contractor when you can pay $375 per panel direct?

What can I use as a gauge to find out if Barron's Body Works is right for me? I visited, the guy seemed very professional and courteous. Didn't seem like he wanted to scam me. But I can't tell the quality of his work without some testimonials.
Are there are rating sites for body shops?
EDIT: I went to the BBB (better business bureau website for Long Island and found this...

It has a "satisfactory" rating with no complains in the past 36 months.
