Detailing clear bra

All,

First time with a car with a clear bra (Xpel brand). Do/Can I treat it just like the paint or are there things to do or not to do special for clear bra's? Thanks.

don't polish it! u can decon it with APC like P21s TAW, a nanoskin and use a clear spray sealant for protection. BFCS or Optimum Seal work great - no wax or hybrid stuff for fear of staining. It's actually very easy to maintain.

I have polished mine annually and get a good pop from Poorboys pro polish and PO85rd (yup-have a lot left)

And yes, I iron x it, clay is gently or nano skin it with plenty of Lube (ONR missed heavy) and polish it.

The film was replaced on my hood due to a stone abrading the hood. Before I re-filmed it, I went to town to see what it could take.

It is tougher than you think.

Don't believe me, get a junk hood, polish it and film it. Go to town. You will learn a lot. Just be careful not to generate heat by staying in one spot, it can loosen the glue.

I polished a Q5 that was completely wrapped in protective film... It was like polishing the softest paint imaginable :) Perfect swirl free results using an AIO polish/wax on a DA!

like others have said stay away from abrasive material . on my Expel I will wash dry and use WGDGPS . on the 3M film I had , the JW twins worked with great success.
