Detailed with Jeffs Werktatt = how do I get more OOOHs

I ordered Zaino CS and Z8 from a UK based company, hope they can deliver in time... Will post pics as soon as the detailing has hapened...

Will ben putting a few layers of AJT on top, and after the curing I will seal it with Zaino CS and then finish off with the Z8 !

Do I use gloss after the AJT or skip that part and just put Zaino CS on top after I let the AJT cure for a couple of hours?

Its my understanding that polycharged sealants have a short shelf life, a few days perhaps. So wouldn't PC'ing the full bottle be a waste?
Water-based products (Klasse, Werkstatt, various QD sprays) can be mixed with Polycharger H2O with no worries about shelf life. You can treat an entire bottle of a QD or acrylic sealant at once, if you like.

Most solvent-based sealants mixed with Polycharger CH2 have a limited time before they begin to solidify in the mixing bottle, so you should only mix as much as you intend to use. There are two notable exceptions to this, however: Zaino and Duragloss. Both Z and DG can be mixed with Polycharger CH2, and the resulting blend appears to stay stable.

By the way, any advice on the wheels? I'm looking for a good look and brake dust repellent...

Zaino Z-CS works super for this. I use it on my 18" OZ wheels & brake dust is a breeze to remove.

how much polycharger did u use for ajt? I can't seem to find info anywhere. thanks

2 doses of Polycharger H2O per oz. per the chart (this is for AJ, but AJT should be the same)

Thanks for the info! One of the reasons Ive refrained from using Polycharger was the (supposed) short shelf life. Knowing that it works with 105, I think Ive just found my new favorite sealant! 105 is cheap and incredible as it is!

Are you sure this is correct? I thought I read where David Bynon posted that DG and Zaino have no shelf life and will harden in the bottle:think:

I found it

(QUOTE)There is no shelf life of H20 mixed products. There is a 48 - 72 hour shelf life for most products mixed with CH2. A couple products that I have noted that do not have a shelf life when CH2 is added are Duragloss and Zaino.(QUOTE-DAVID BYNON)

Can someone clarify this?

Got a silver myself and use JW products.

Wash

Clay

clean

Polish

JW Prime w/Polycharger

JW Jett three consecutive days

AW every three weeks

JW Jett once a week

Smooth and Slick(I think the Polish made the differance)

Great Products/No Problems

I would read "no shelf life" as it does not expire, or in this case go bad, on the shelf. You know, like that mythical gallon of milk that everyone searches for in the grocery store because it will never expire; no shelf life.

well, if it doesn't expire wouldn't that indicate that it isn't activating the polymers:think:
I think it simply means that, for whatever reason, the resulting blend is stable. I don't know why it doesn't harden in the bottle. FWIW, Z2Pro doesn't harden in the bottle for me with ZFX or Polycharger. Again, I don't think that means anything other than the blend is stable.

Polycharged DG and Z2Pro seem to work just fine, though. :nixweiss

Check out Aquapel for the windshield. I have been using it on my LS since October and it still works great!!

Do a search in the forum for more Aquapel talk.

I have tried idfferent products in the past that gave the car a super slick feeling. It always feel like you are getting better protection when the caqr feels slick. But I am a detailer that would rather prefer a soft feel to my paint. This might make some of you boo at me, but I love the feel of Aston Martins and Bentleys paint after it has been prep. properly. Almost like your finger tips melt into the paint. I guess this goes along with the fact I prefer depth as compared to the mirror effect. Reflection can be very impressive, especially on black but I love to be able to see into the paint. All IMO, and who knows what that is worth. I have yet to have had someong pay me for my opinion!!

Hi!

The car looks great, if you want to get it a bit wetter (as i have been touting for few months now with any Carlack based/derived stuff) put in a layer of polymer glaze after prime and between jett. If you feel like it, put a layer of polymer glaze between each layer of Jett.

Enjoy!

The glazeman!
