As you guys know, I had the pleasure of detailing for Top Gear US Host Rutledge Wood. This car had to be cleaned in order for him to sell it for something more practical.

The before pictures werent the best since I did not have my SLR. But I removed the rear seat bottom and found some very interesting things. But I wont be going into details on that.

Car was washed with dawn to remove alot of grime and wheels were cleaned up with s100 polishing soap.

Engine was just pressure washed (didnt do extensive cleaning since the omnispark it has is finicky.)

All uppers were cleaned up with Megs Microfiber pad with d300 followed by Blackfire Wet Diamond.

Lowers were cleaned with Zaino AIO.

Wood was spray waxed using xmt spray wax.

Seats were cleaned with leather masters strong cleaner followed by the leather protection cream.

Plastics were cleaned with either APC or 1z Deep plastic cleaner.

The carpets were blown out with compressed air and vacuumed, there was no need to extract since a test spot revealed my bissle green machine was no match.

The Door jambs were pressure washed (unconventional, but while he owned this vehicle for less than a year, it had roughly 4-6 years of grime built up.)

So I conclude: This was indeed a project vehicle.

But here are the afters:

As an added bonus, the pictures I took were used in his for sale ad and thus it was then featured on Jalopnik!

Very cool.... but I gotta ask, what's more practical than a Roadmaster Wagon?

Exactly!

My 1994 RMW was a twin to that wagon and it was the most practical car I've owned. My wife was never too fond of it, but she could never deny the functionality of it. At SEMA this year my friend talked wagons with Rut for a few minutes and it made his whole trip because he's a huge Top Gear fan.

Thats the best answer. On top of that, in the back his kids werent getting the best air flow.

The air flow thing I can sorta understand, but if the concern is scraping a cheap set of OE coil springs would solve the problem mighty fast.

Good job friend, I try to like the show as much as the uk version but I can't bring myself to like it as much

Same here. it just doesn't quite have that fluiditiy that a decade of doing the same show with the same 3 people has in UK top gear. Right now they all seem forced to laugh at each other's jokes.
