Detailed my new 300c

At first I was told they had to, that I wouldn't be able to see out the windows. Just prior to leaving with my 300c the sales manager ask me if I was sure I didn't want the car prepped. He said he had never had a car leave his lot looking so bad. :).

It really wasn't all that bad.

Wish I could see the pics, but my job blocks the photobucket site. If your dealer wasn't far from home, I'd have loved to see his face had you brought your freshly detailed car back to him. You could have said something like, "Have you ever seen a car come back looking so good?" :D

I'd like my know, so would my my father. We've been wanting to put a different grill and stuff on. The 20's just don't look right with that grill. :p

i work at a chrysler jeep service dept and those 300s are really nice. when someone buys a car they run them through an auto wash with those small plastic bristles on the brushes :scared

you did the right thing having them leave the car be.

that engine cover is really awesome, i have not had any customers that have bought 300s have that done.

that green is pretty sweet too :xyxthumbs

Awesome car man, I just love the color :up . I've been seeing lots of "kids playing gangsta" with em where I live hooking them up. I think yours is the nicest one i've seen so far and all it has is a new grille :xyxthumbs

Nice job on the detail too, though I would imagine detailing a brand new car wouldn't be that hard. ;)

Roaringmouse, what a great job you have done. I have my 300C ordered but Chrysler are not launching here in Australia until late in the year (05).

I have bought the same grille as you and have that in storage awaiting the 300C delivery. I wanna be the first to hit the road here with the custom tweaks :D

That grill is most likely an E&G grill. There was a group by over on another forum. It can be seen here. They have another one with a center bar and a euro style too. Just stay away from the roof package.

You put 20's on the 300?!?

Ah!

:scared

Is the painted engine cover clear coated?

The grill is a massive improvement - it makes the car look like a bentley - like the last model Mulsanne Turbo - and the current continental coupe has an identical grill - very nice indeed.

In fact - even the badge is very similar to the continental coupe - see for yourself:

Had I chosen this grille it would have been even closer to that Bentley: http://store1.yimg.com/I/wyckoff-chrysler-parts_1823_4118559

sorry to burst some bubbles here but you should not put bigger rims on a 300 :(

we were doing that at the beginning and all they did was come back with problems. alignment issues were # 1 but the ESP

( traction and stability control system ) is setup in the computer for the wheels that come on it. the bigger wheels may hamper performance in crappier weather,

but that is just a FYI and FWIW. the techs at work say that the big rims are big problems :sosad

I'm not sure I believe that because I watched a show produced by Chrysler about the design of the Magnum and 300C and they said they distinctly designed the car to have room for up to 22 inch rims. Look through an issue of DUB or Rides or even cardomain.com every one of the 300's have at least 20's on it.

BEAUTIFUL! I really like the new 300C as it is, but your detail and the mesh grill make it even better!

Good for you sticking to your guns and not letting the dealer mess up the car. :up
