Detailing=Artwork
I just did this pearl white 2004 Acura TL.
WHAT A MACHINE...
I thought my 5.0 fast a snappy pony..
My gosh..This thing just wanted to rip upart the asphalt..I wasn't even pushing it..Owner told me it has 270HO stock..Well that explains the sensation.

Anyway..Did it at night so no decent pics-and garage is too small for a full shot...but I will go back and get some..
Here are a few panel shots..
I used PB Pro Polish and UPP..
Client was exstatic..I quote "I have never seen the pearl show so much.."
Me. :D

Good Work!! :)

Yeah, 270HP stock, but it still aint no Legend. :hah

I like most Acuras, but can you tell I have a favorite? :hah

That car rules. I was given one for a loaner from my Acura dealer while having warranty work done, and it's close to perfection. I even have some DVD-Audio discs that I listened to in it...5.1 channel sound in a car. BAD ASS.

Time to get rid of the Legend!

Know whatcha mean. I thought my 5.0 was fast until I jumped into a new G35. While my 5.0 had tons of torque, the G35 had more hp so it seemed to picked up speed quicker, and it was much smoother. I guess new tech vs. old tech.

We've got a 2004 TL but it's Anthracite....it is the nicest car we've ever owned. the 270 hp is great....0-60 in 5.9-6.3 (depending who you ask/which magazine). Sounds excellent and the DVD Audio is amazing. I also have the 2005 Acura RL brochure and I like the TL better, not just because we have one, but the styling is more sporty and it's actually faster.

This is the best value on the market! Loads of standard features and power. If you're in the market, check the TL out...it's awesome!

Carl

P.S. I like the Acura so much that I think I'll get a Legend when I get my license. They're great automobiles...

Those are fightin words!
Even the new TL as nice as they are can't replace our Legends.

I have a '95 sedan and it's one of the last Acura's with very good build quality. I will need to get my hands on a new RL though as either it or the TL WILL replace my Legend.

Yeah, I'm just messin around.
The new TL is a great car.
I drove it, before I bought my current Legend (my 5th Legend believe it or not).
I just didn't think it was worth the price difference.
The new RL is a different beast all together.
That has some interesting new technology.
I can't wait to drive that one.
But I am very, very, very happy with my 95 Legend.
I will drive it for along time.

I totally agree. The Legends are wonderful, long lasting cars that were way before their time.

I've tried talking my parents into buying one but they're not crazy about the idea of buying another new car. :(

Did you notice tons of brake dust on the rims? One of my clients complained about this problem and was considering switching to ceramic pads.

Any tips on cleaning the rims? I used NXT to finish them off. The owner was very pleased.

That ridge that runs along the side of the doors makes polishing and waxing a PITA.

Very nice ride and good work.

Been away..
Answering a few questions posted:

Ya there was a bit..but the car was kept pretty cleann.
I use Meguires ALl Wheel Cleanerr..come sin that purple spray bottle..This thing is amazing!!! Cleans as soon as the liquid hits the wheel..VERY GOOD.

Day time shots..
I'll try..but I doubt it will remain clean until that day..Unless I give another coat of UPP free of charge..we'll see..
I would love to get a day pic though just for my jobs' album...

The 2004 TL's are sweet - but not that fast (5.9??). My problem with acura is the TL,the new RL and the TSX all look too similar now. I had an 02 Maxima with the VQ10 V6 before this TL and the Maxima (same engine as in the Z and the G35) just feels faster - gobs of torque up front and neck snapping acceleration. The Honda engines come on more refined and the vtech gives you the most power in the higher RPM's (3 gear is THE sweet spot for the V6 vtech).

Hey LS - you know the L in TL is for legend don't ya :lol

I have seen the legends interior and they are almost identical to the TL :)

Almost identical? You sure you were looking at a Legend. LOL

I don't think they look alike, but maybe that's just me. :)
