Detailed: 96 Porsche 911 Carrera 4

Not trying to Hi-jack, in reference to a comment posted earlier..

Avoiding holograms is not a matetr of skill...Atleats to a point.

Some paints simply will not leave trails like others, and as obviously noted, some colors will show some trails... I have seen a few detailers, who would at one point only detail cars with a rotory, only to post a few months later how they began using the PC again to finish, because there were times that no matter how good they polished, the rotory would leaves its prints.

As a safe measure, because the sun is not always angled right or your 1000w lights do nwo always show them up, it is always recommended, especially on dark colors to try and do a quick pass with a PC...

Last thing you want is to wake up some morning witht he sun angled right, only to see a slight buffer trail in the lower rear quater of the car.

Joy...

Then again *some* finishes do not respond well at all to a PC. I have had many cars I tried to polish with a PC and very soft finsihed that simply micro-marred under a finishing pad and RMG. I have not had not one customer complain about holograms even after I call to check up on them...thankfully.

well i just checked my car and there very very very very very slight, barely visible (im very picky at anything i do myself) then i compared that to my bosses car who had his car detailed last month and there absolutely all over the place.

I dont *need* a pc and dont plan on buying one either, i think soft paint/clear coat ie honda/acura will show more holograms then a hard paint/clearcoat ie audi/vw
