01bluecls, I did smell a coconut / pina colada scent as well! I was drinking a pina colada smoothie and it smelled like the 53, I felt like I was drinking the wax lol.

Well the repaint on this car was extremely well done, not jus the flat surfaces. Very little to no orange peel, very few if any fish eyes, vitrually no sanding marks or overspray that is commonly seen..

My bad, I'm afraid I wasn't clear :o When I mentioned the "flat surface" I meant the lack of orange peel and other defects. My good painter talks about "perfectly flat" paint as a good thing in that sense and that's what I was trying to say.

Interesting that the b/c was so ultra-soft, makes me wonder if it's the way it's supposed to be  Considering that black ss is about as soft as paint gets, when the b/c is softer it sounds like trouble. And yeah, straight black is one *very* unforgiving paint!

Yeah, I understand why you (and most other people) prefer b/c over ss, I'm just funny/old-fashioned/etc. about it and prefer the ss for those same differences. And I agree about the way ss soaks up some products, and not always uniformly, this can drive me nuts on the Jag.

Man, the before looks exactly like the paint on my '94 supra now... I can't wait to seemy car after a detail.

Oustanding paint correction! :bow

Can't figure out why people let their cars get that bad in the first place though.

Seeing people who don't take care of their cars is inevitable, or people who think they are taking care of their cars dont know the right techniques, which is where we step in, to educate :D

Bullseye! I mean all my clients are extremely nice, dont get me wrong, but sometimes they dont know how, dont have time, or both. Knowing they care at least is when they seek professionals to get their cars back into shape. :)
