Today was different than usual.........EXTERIORS ONLY!!!
I had two corrections to do today. This first one is owned by a good friend and personal banker of mine. Funny thing is, he never has let me do his truck. Just not a big deal to him. Out of no where he calls me and wants it done. Only the outside. What a shame, my #105 just came in!
Here's the process:
Wheels, Tires, and Wells.......
Wheels were treated with Wheel Brightener at 6:1. This is the most economical ratio I've personally found. There tires and wells were treated with ZEP's Purple Degreaser at 4:1. This is simply the best degreaser I've found to date. 35.00 get's you 5 gallons and 4:1 is as strong as you should ever go with it. Home Depot has it. The tires and wells.......trim too.....were treated to Hyper Dressing at 4:1. This was the first time I've ever used it. Amazing product. Thanks to all who recommended it!
Wash Cycle:
The front bumper, mirrors, and lower panels were treated with Zep Degreaser at a 10:1 ratio. This destroys the bugs. 95% come off with the pressure washer after only sitting for 60 seconds.....I timed it. I got a sample bottle of Hyper Wash in my latest purchase. I was skeptical to do it's price and was afraid it of not being a good wash. Wrong. I put 2 ounces in 2.5 gallons cleaned very well but I don't any wash could have cleaned this truck. It's not been hand washed in 16 months and no wax in 3 years!!!
Paint Correction:
(Meguiar's #105 via G100 (PC) & Orange LC Lo Pro Pad)
I have yet to use a detailing product that simply made my jaw drop. I intended on doing a comparison of #105 with the G100, G110, and rotary. It never made it past the G100! It cut and corrected......cleaned.......with just this machine. I primed my pad with Last Touch and applied three pea sized drops to prime the pad. After that is was just two. There was no dusting at all. Clean up was a breeze. After the hood was done, I got on the phone and talked to 3 of my detailing buddies. All I got was "I told you it was awesome shi.....stuff!" Thanks Meg's!
Paint Protection:
(Meguiar's NXT2.0 via G100 & LC Red LSP Pad)
Most of you know how I feel about this product. Slick, wet, easy to use. Looks awesome too! I just can't wait to see it in 24 hours!
Befores:
No tape was needed for these 50?50 shots!!!
Messy pad thanks to the cleaning of #105.
