Mobile Detailing Services
This is one of five vehicles I did for a customer this week. Car had lots of water spots and fine scratches.

Meguiar's Shampoo Plus Wash
Meguiars' Clay Bar
(While washing.)
Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover 2.0
(EDGE 2000 Yellow Pad at #5)
Meguiar's #7 Glaze
(EDGE 2000 Blue Pad at #3)
Meguiar's #26 Yellow Wax
(2 coats allowed to dry 30 minutes per coat)
(Edge 2000 White Pad at #3)
(Removed with MF bonnet at #5)

WOW!
I've heard of #7 being hot but man, it with #26, deep and wet. I'm even wondering why I would leave Meg's behind....ever.

Layed it all out....LITTERALLY!

AWESOME. I wish I had clients like that......

I am not familiar with Megs Products, well...waxes and such

I love one's like this one!
I've done 3 outta 5 vehicles this week for them. They want them all maintained bi-weekly too.

Thanks man.

Great job...I just ordered the Edge Pad kit...I hope they work that well for me.

You will NOT be disappointed at all!
Best investment next to my PC and Shop Vac.
I used a 5.99 bottle of Megs cleaner wax with them last week on wax job. Amazing!!!

Which pkg. did you get?

I got the The Edge Dual Action 6 Inch Kit. I received in on Friday, but it's raining like crazy today (and probably tomorrow) so I will have to wait until next weekend to try them out.

The results look very nice, but aren't you worried that you used three glazing products on the finish? Does the client mind marring coming back?

Explain.
What would you have done/used?

Three products that don't contain filling oils...

Optimum Polishes
Menzerna Polishes

No glaze

Zaino Z2 Pro/Z5 Pro (don't even say that fills like a glaze)
FMJ

The point of the matter is that the customer is getting a deceiving finish, IMO. You layer up three products that might (and do in this case) look outstanding, but after about two weeks and a couple washes, most of those oils will be gone, marring will be back, etc etc.

I, as well as many on these detailing sites, go for the "what you see is what you get" approach.

I've use this process for a year now with over 100 clients and multiple washes with no problem or complaints.

... Not if he did a good job on swirl removal prior to the glazing, which, judging by his response, he did. So I don't follow your concern.

Swirl removal?

#9 is full of oils, then #7 Glaze (oils), and topped with #26 (oils)...There are a lot of filling oils there. I have used all three products.

Heffer, please point out *how* he removed *all* the swirls if there were this many fillers.

Justin: Please don't take offense to the above. Many of my clients do not pay for/want 95%+ perfect finishes for many different reasons. I am not knocking your work in any way, because the Viper does look great...I'm just trying to clear up things with heffer.

So you're saying I removed no swirls? And all I did was "fill" them with oils?
I wipe the entire car with Iso. Alc.with no dilution between each application.
Wouldn't this remove any oils left behind?

Yes it would, but my next question to you is:

Why use a glaze?

The point of a glaze is to add oils which subsequently increase the depth and wetness and leave the surface looking better for the sealer.

I was wrong. I don't use it after the glaze. But, I do after #80 or #81 and there are still no swirls.

Why is everyone shocked that I use Meg's stuff? I've seen awesome results from Meg's Deep Crystal System. I can get all 3 products together for under 20 bux. Just because it's inexspensive doesn't make it cheap.
