hey guys,

well this past weekend, detailed 2 perfection had it's fair share of black cars. we tackled a mercedes benz clk500 along with a lexus lx470. you might remember seeing this clk from a few months back. this is a regular customer of ours that gets the level III detail in the beginning and end of summer. the black lx470 is a pretty new car with only a little over 2k miles, so we just did a level I exterior on it. we have a black '99 lx470 lined up for this weekend (depending on the weather) and that has over 70k miles on it. so after we get done detailing the '99 lx, we'll put them next to each other and we'll see who can tell the difference between the two.

with further delay, here are the pics.

enjoy!

What did you use? They look fantastic!

By the weay, in the Merc you can see the surrounding of the antenna not as shiny ;) :p But that won't spoil a great work.

Is it just me or did you miss something? Anyway, nice detail. I love how those things look with the windows rolled down.

I noticed that too, but I think it's just the reflection of the aggregate in the blacktop.

They look great :xyxthumbs

hahaha, yeah good eye. i was too quick to snap the pics before we completed the whole car. my bad. haha.

in this detail we used:

-griott's clay bar with speed shine

-meg.'s medium cut cleaner with a dual cyclo head buffer w/ green pads

-klasse a.i.o

-s100

thanks again for the compliments guys! still learning and still growing in the detailer's business. going on 5 years and i'm still picking up new tips! this site is great!

Nice work :xyxthumbs

Don't you think Medium Cut Cleaner is a little abrasive? Doesn't it dust up a lot? I'm suprised you can go straight to AIO without first using a finer polish to clear up the marring from the Medium Cut.

I thought Medium Cut was for harsh defects and for use with the rotary :nixweiss

It works for you! Just curious, that's all.

How about the weather here in Jersey, huh? Can't beat it!
