Maintaining their fleet is gonna be a lot of time, but i cant complain when its an Ferrari, Bentley, BMW, and Range Rover!

Woah...I just went back over your first post and realized that this is another car from the same client. Man are you lucky...just hope they don't move anytime soon!

I must say that looks insane..Good work.. One questions though, would it be possible to get those results with a 7424 by itself..I see where you say you used a rotary on 1200 rpms..?

Absolutely fantastic work. That blue looks amazing now. Oh and thanks for the compliment on the Porsche detail of mine. Yes I have a feeling I'm going to like the Hitachi vs the PC. It looks like you have no problems finishing with out holograms with the rotary. I noticed you cut back the speed to arround 1000 rmps when finishing, does that make the difference, and how fast are you moving the rotary at this point?

Rotary is able to generate heat which is one reason why its so effective. It also has more torque so it wont wont bog down under pressure like the PC. Results that I acheived *maybe* possible with the PC but will take twice as many passes. On harder clearcoats no way. I used the PC for while before I jumped to the rotary, I feel in most cases now the PC cannot produce the same finish as the rotary.

I get halogramming when using cutting pad and aggressive compounds but FPII on a polishing pad takes them out and really burnishes the paint to a nice finish. I usually have FPII @ 1500rpms when trying to eliminate any halogramming from the previous step. Then back down to 1000 rpms before finishing the polish off. I feel it helps breaks down the last bit of polish. When moving @1500rpms i keep it moving faster then 1000rpms, so finishing at a 1000 rpms and moving slower ensures that i cover all the areas and let the polish do its job. At this point im moving an "estimated" 1 second every foot overlapping (if that makes sense). My methods may be over kill but the last thing I want is to leave halograms and miss areas.

wetpet for those who are wondering is the client I detailed his 89 328 GTS for and referred me to these other clients.

Fantastic job on those vehicles...what a turnaround. Thanks for posting your process and pics...I really enjoy looking at the transformation.

It looks amazing, over these last 4 threads from this client, I have grown a huge respect for your work! keep posting!

The headlights cut into the grill, new front & rear bumper, and several new interior features. Hehe, you really have to look to notice the distance.

walnuts- no problem. It takes me an hour to resize all the photos, save them, upload them to autopia's gallery, write up the process. Im glad you and others enjoy the threads. It makes me feel appreciated when others comment on my work and hopefully it helps with others who may have questions regarding process.

DSVWGLI- no problem anytime.

Sean - Thank you sir! Can I have another?... lol

WhiteJavaS500- you dont know what you are talking about! LOL (JUST KIDDING!)
