did a detail for a buddy up here in Berkeley... VM + WG on the paint, VM on the glass/plastic, Meguiar's Hot Shine on the tires... don't mind the rusty rotors, pics were snapped right after the car was detailed ;)

it was a horribly cloudy day here in Berkeley on Saturday though, so no shots in the sun :(

Crystal Grey is a really interesting color... always seems to change shades... sometimes it looks champagne, sometimes grey, sometimes brown...

No interior pics though, didn't really need anything since the car's only about a month old.

My Integra is sitting in my parents' driveway back in LA right now... got a new alarm and stuff, gonna do a few more security mods before bringing it back up here to the Bay Area. Thanks for asking :)

Nice. Love those cars minus the outrageous wing and coffee can exhaust.

Eh, you gotta have it when you talk like this. "Eh, ive gotz a subwooffaaaaa and NAZZZZZZZZZZZZ, ya wanna hear that ****a pound out some ****?!?"

Haha, just joking. Nice car and GREAT detail.

I am not crazy over the wing on the STi's or Evo's but they where designed after their rally heritage and if you were going to actually use the car for rally that wing is going to keep your car level in the air so your nose does not land hard.

The wing is as tall as it is because it must be that tall to be functional. Because the Impreza is a typical "boxy" sedan with fairly sharp delineation between the roof and the back glass, the air coming off the car detaches at the roof. The spoiler is as tall as it is to get it up into the airflow. If it's much lower, it sits in the vacuum between the roof and the back bumper, and does no good.

Also, that "coffee can" exhaust serves a very real purpose on a turbo-charged car. You may not care for the styling, but the absolute best exhaust for a turbo application is none at all (i.e., open atmosphere). Since that's rarely practical, the biggest pipe with the fewest, smoothest bends you can fit under the car will suffice. There's not much point in having a 3" turbo-back exhaust if it ultimately has to be pumped through a restrictive muffler, so you tend to see large exits on WRX's, STi's, EVO's, etc. that have been modified for serious performance. On the upside, loud Subies typically don't have that swarm-of-angry-bees sound about them that's usually associated with inline 4-cyls; rather, the boxer motor has a pleasant, bassy thump about it at idle, that gets nice and snarly at higher RPM/big throttle.

I personally don't care for the "big can" look, either, but form does follow function in this case.
