Detail Werkz - Ferrari F430 Scuderia

One of my long term clients just traded in his 08 Ferrari F430 Coupe for this sick 2009 Ferrari F430 Scuderia.

I had no idea he had this thing. He just called me up and said he needed his CGT and his 430 detailed, so I did not think anything about it.

I got to his house and opened up the garage and saw the rear of the Scuderia and I was like..***.. He was out of town so I buzzed him and he was laughing like a little girl. He was like surprised you huh. I was like umm yea.. he said go take it for a quick spin to see what its like, so I was like..sure..

The Scuderia is a musical masterpiece, Ferrari really did it right when designing the exhaust. The sound it just orgasmic and the shifting is so much more enhanced than the stock 430. The carbon brakes are massive and rapidly stop the vehicle when the time arises.

Well on to the detail... He asked that I asses the paint as he noticed some slight swirls and medium scratches in certain areas of the paint. Chris and I decided to grab the Extreme Cut Beta 1, Beta 2 and Beta 5 for this job. Using the Porter Cable 7424, Gloss It Yellow foam pads we started working on the paint with the Beta 1. Once completed another pass with the GI yellow foam on the Beta 2 and completed the correction using the Beta 5 as a glaze and the GI red foam pad.

I really wanted to FIRE IT UP..so I applied 2 coats of the Signature High Gloss topped with 3 coats of the Concorso Gloss! By the time we were taking off the last coat, my eyes were playing tricks with me as the paint was so glossy and was reflecting so much light that It was making me dizzy looking at the reflections of the moving trees above the car.

The interior carbon was also corrected using the Beta 4 and Beta 5 with a 3 inch red foam pad on the 7424. Gloss Finish was applied to the interior carbon fiber and the seats were PH cleaned with the Satin Leather Cleaner and conditioned using the Satin Leather Polish.

The engine was PH-cleaned using the Gloss It Signature Wheel Gel and then spraying the Signature Tire Gloss to give it some life. All the engine carbon was hit by hand with the Beta 5 on the red 3 inch foam pad and then Gloss Finish was applied for protection and that famous Gloss It POP!

White diamond was used for the exhaust ports, and it brightened them up a tad.

What a great detail! Enjoy the shots!

Nice job, it looks great in black! Did you notice any wet sanding marks on it? I read "light swirls" so if that's all it was, you're (well, your customer is) a lucky man!

Absolutely amazing car. Great work. The Scuderia is a masterpiece to say the least. I'm a little envious that your clients let you take the whips for a run LOL!

I did not see anything like wet sanding marks, just quite a few random RIDS and the normal swirls. I have been following your post and I see how much trash and sand marks you find in the ferrari's you work on. My partner and I walked around the car looking for sanding marks just because of what we read on your post. Using our TK10 LED lights we did not find any thing bad.

Brian keepin it fired up............... have not seen one in the Nero carbon, nice suprise for you and the crew Brian.

Nice job Brian, that car looks outrageous.

I had a client let me take out his black GTR and get it up to speed but not a 430 yet, nice to have that kind of trust with your clients.

Great job.
