Mustang looks awesome and I especially like that hood and the Cobra front bumper cover. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your pics.:xyxthumbs

Here's a pic of mine.

Looks outstanding! Almost like wet black chrome. :up

Definitely looking forward to more pics but please knock the file size down a bit if you can. Some of us are still using the bear skins and stone knives dial up access.

First of all I'd like to say thank you to all of the compliments... it is truely the most satisfying when others notice and appreciate your work.

I went absolutley nuts with the new digital camera and the new detail - I took about 175 pics. I put a nice selection of the pics taken outdoors in my Gallery. I have more I'll post that were taken in the garage - a totally different look.

countrysquire - No snow up in the NW part of Houston, Sunday was absolutley gorgeous. I have the bonus of having this car be a garage queen.

Scottwax - I'm thrilled to get my first critique from you, thanks for the kind words. I aimed for about 250K for file size, should I go smaller? I noticed your pics are about 750 pixels wide and if I go that high at high quality then I get pics about 300K. Do you recomend a smaller res or lower quality?

360RamGuy01 - here you go, I have a slightly more updated list at work I'll swap out tomorrow but this should give you an idea. The car is 100% built from ground up - out of the thousands of parts the car contains I can count on one hand what's left from stock.

Thanks! Yes, the car can move :D Drawback of something like that is it will never be a daily driver again... if you really see that as a drawback.

BTW... I updated the specs list above to how the car sits currently, the other list I had up was a bit outdated.

Hmmm, red X in box this morning

Had to take the first teaser pic down... that should be the only one not showing up. I put all the pics in my Gallery due to their size and quantity.

BTW, I've also just put up the pics I took inside the garage.

Lookin' good Tanguy :xyxthumbs

I remember when you were hesitant to have the body shop wet-sand your car after painting.

Looks like they did a good job as well as you with the 3M PI III MG. Don't you love it when a plan comes together ;)

Thanks John, you're absolutely right - I'm glad I went through with it. Believe it or not, there are still some fine swirls left behind from the shop's buffing - I was hesitant to get more aggressive with the abbrasive polish, they seemed deeper than how far I wanted to go. I'd still like to get every last swirl out of it but not at the expense of removing clear. The light once over with MG made a great improvement though - and those swirls are only evident if you put your nose right up on the paint.

I like the UPP very much too... my only critique is that its gloss is definitely a surface shine. I have depth from good prep and good paint but I think you can look at the surface at just the right angle and almost see the UPP on top. The Souveran test I did I almost went cross-eyed trying to see its layer on the test panel. I'm definitely going carnauba next on the car... listen to me, I'm already talking about "next" :D
