Ive been using my own personal products to detail cars and that **** has got to stop!!!!!!!! I was just doing a job here and now ive got work coming out of my ears, so much work that ive got to buy more products and mf's. My question is.....is detail king's products good(cleaner, protectans) things like that. Ive already decide what wax and pait cleaner im going to use, I just dont know about everything else. I need quality stuff I can get in bulk. Any suggestions

You can get most quality products in bulk...as a matter of fact I was in the same boat as you started detailing on the side and now I've got more work than I want.

Anyhow...most of the notables are available in gallon sizes if you want to stock up.

Personally I have tried just about everything this summer and decided to buy in bulk and stick to a basic routein for most of my customers next year. Right now I've got

AIO in a 3 liter container

4* UPP gallon

SSR2.5 gallon

SSR1 gallon

303 gallon

Still deciding on a QD...I really like Z6 but none of the Zaino stuff can be purchased in quantity...so Poorboys might have to fit the bill on that one too!

The Megs QDs are great and available in gallons, Last Touch is available in 5 gallon containers :D

JDookie has lead me to VM and EX, and EX-P, and they have large containers. As far as a polish im going to continue to use 1zpp and for a final topper im going to charge extra for my pinnacle souveran. Just needing mf detail towels for final wipe downs and buffing off polish and wax and doing windows and what not. I guess tire dressings, soap, vynil cleaners and protectans, leather cleaners and protectant..blah blah blah...detailing is a full time job in houston, there really is no down time here...gezz its almots november and I think its 90 outside.

I charge for "shop supplies" . I add around 10% in the total for this . If i quote a price i include or split the price. This way i can use high quality products and not get burned when my shop-vac or other costs me.

Salty: not a bad idea. Not bad at all. I'm trying to come to grips with my entire pricing scheme, and this is a fresh thought. THANKS.

I buy FIVE GALLON containers from:

Autoint/ValuGard

AutoMagic

Eagle One

I use a fair amount of Meg's in gallon sizes...

I have trouble getting Meg's locally at a competitive price.

HINT: I buy from Meg's Customer Service Line, BUT 10%, no shipping, and no tax... beats anything I can do locally. (PM me if you wanna know how..)
