Guess what? I have my 1999 528i back for the next few days. The new owner and I decided for a detail session. He told me he "washed" it this morning...
...not too well. So I'm in the rewashing stage of this detail.
This is where I¡Â¦m starting at. Swirls are clearly visible in the sun, the paint isn¡Â¦t smooth, and there are waterspots all over.
(I thought this was brag-worthy)
(I thought this, too, was brag-worthy)
Plan of attack after wash:
1.) Use the rest of my FI-2 with yellow LC pad... possibly try Einszett Paint Polish
2.) Mother¡Â¦s Clay
3.) P21S S100... possibly try Mother¡Â¦s SG
4.) Use the rest of my VM on doorjambs and brake dust-embedded wheels
5.) Try #26 again with Mike¡Â¦s technique
6.) Dress trim (product unknown)
7.) Vacuum interior
8.) Leatherique!
(Car is finally washed... time for Part II!)
