As you saw, the car was a mess.

I had cleaned it up very well, but then, I had covered it with a car cover, never been used before and the car was completely clean and this is the damage the '100% soft cotton' car cover has caused:

That section that looks like the reflection of clouds is actually marring that was caused by the cover flapping on the body during the high winds we had a couple of weeks ago in Melbourne, even though the car was in a carport, nasty.

No more car covers, I'd rather wash to get rid of dust.

Now,

here's the same Quarter Panel after a Moderate Cut (Edge Yellow 8" & Menzerna Intensive Polish PO85RD3.01):

and after a wax (Optimum Car Wax):

Here are a couple of areas that needed a fair bit of attention paid to them.

The lower section of the Quarter Panel:

I had smeared Intensive Polish with my finger across the section to minimise slinging

Badges were masked carefully to ensure they weren't damaged but that I was correcting imperfections as close to them as possible.

I'm not a fan of badges and would normaly remove them, but this is the signiture of a legendary company.

The guards:

I played aroud with a few lsp's on the Hood.

I applied P21S Wax to the Left section of the Hood, Optimum Car Wax to the Right and centre has nothing.

To me, OCW loks good, but the P21S carnauba look is what I am after and I still haven't decided what will cover it yet.

I applied OCW to most panels because it was quick and easy to do and it will provide enough protection 'till I decide what to do with it.

The car is rarely driven, but in the weather often, so it will be need to be coated in a sealant like Polylack Nano Seal or Zaino Z2pro then layered with a carnauba before shows or concourse events for the wet look.

Interior & Wheel & Tyre Detailing Starts Soon...

Lovely recover :)

Just how do you managed to clean the rear tail light louvers(I call them tiny little grille):o

Actually, embarrassingly, it's my dad's.

I like detailing cars, but he only likes driving them. It wasn't too bad, just the aftermath of the 'rinse and chamois wash method' he likes.

I have put him straight now lol.

Actually, Ferrari Melbourne recently serviced it and they used a corrosive degreaser which faded it, permanently. I tried everthing. It has a satin gloss before they washed it.

They are going to replace the rear grille.

Wow, nice job! Tell your dad to get that thing some proper cover like a storage building. A carport is for a daily driver, not a beautiful machine like that.
