Detail City Has Lost A Real Treasure.

It is with great sadness that I type this tonight. A long-time friend of Detail City, Willard Reece, has passed away. Willard helped me make Detail City what it is today. One time I tried hiring someone else to take his place, that was a big mistake. Willard is THE MAN when it comes to working on VBulletin forums.

He has been my website designer, my problem solver and my friend since I met him back in 2002. Recently, when Detail city was under attack by hackers, Will was just a phone call away and right there working through the night and into the early morning hours. He would tell me that he might be tired after his chemo, but that he would get back to work after he took a nap and got recharged.
He would often put other people in front of his own needs.

I never met him in person. Most of our conversations were through MSN Messenger and on the phone. I'm glad that I got to know him. He will be greatly missed.

Take care buddy. :bawling:

awww.... that is too bad. I talked to Willard a time or two when I was helping with various aspects of one of the redesigns. He was always a really helpful person and great to work with. I'm sure he has left a gap in a lot of lives.

just to know the way that person means to you, has a great impact on what many thousand people reading this forum think about him now. now there is an extra couple thouhsand people praying and thinking goood thoughts of a person named "willard", who apparently has always been here, but not just for our view.

good luck dwayne and sorry for the loss of a friend..

It is truely a big loss for all of us as Willard has certainly left his mark on many of us here at Detail City ...prayers go out for him and his family as he moves on to a better place :( :innocent:

Dwayne,
I'm sure that his magic touch will be missed by all of us, but I take comfort in knowing that he is in a better place and no longer suffering. Now it is we who must carry on and make the City a great testament to him.

I'm sorry to hear this Dwayne.

Perhaps we can take comfort that Willard left is mark on a great site that has helped many people. I'm sure he added value to other sites as well.

Our prayers are with his family.

I hate reading about stuff like this, but its life. Lately I have been reading abotu alot of death on internet forums, pretty sad. My condolences go out to his family, I love Detail City!
