Some mixed before pictures

The car was covered in medium swirls and a lots of RIDS all over but I didn´t do so much about them. My main targets was to eliminate the swirls and bring back some gloss to the paint.

Wash process

1. Foamed the car with a heavy alkalie detergent (ph 14) 1:32 via foam gun

2. Rinse with power washer

3. Foamed with Allbrites cherry foam (4oz soap and filled up the rest with warm water) setting 1:10 on foam gun.

4. Washed with two buckets and cherry foam

5. Rinse with power washer

6. Clayed with clay block and ONR as lube. IMO much more effective then clay, but it did marr the paint a lot. But this is not a problem if you are going to polish the car.

7. Dried with a couple of waffle weaves

Where did you get that foam attachment for your Karcher?

It´s a Gilmour foam gun, not an foam lance.

Perfect as always Marcus !! ;)

What foamed wool pad did you use?

Lake Countrys, this is a awsome pad. Finished out with very little hazing but PO106FA sorted them out easily.

Menzerna 106FA ftw

It´s a killer polish, no question about it.

I did a lot of testing on this car, about 8 different kinds of compounds and polishes. Scholl concepts have a good combo with the S17 medium compound and S30+ extra fine compound. S30+ is comparable with PO106FA but with a shorter working time, wich is IMO good sometimes. S17 have a similar working time of PO85RD3.02, but is easier to wipe off. Even if not broken down properly.

And I must say that Menzerna Powergloss is a good compound, I used it with LC white CSS pads and TopTool. It was easy to break it down and it finished out very good when worked properly. Have some pictures of this, will post them later. The paint became very hot.
