Der Wunder towel?

Got this thing due to the price, but it seems kinda scratchy? Sticks like crazy to the car. Any bad experiences with it? It was absorbant though. Didn't see any abbrev for it and nothing usable in a search.

When it dries I'll try it on a cd and see what happens. I bought it at classic motoring acces. It was about half the price of the big blue MF, at $15, so I figured it was worth a shot. Did dry well, just felt really odd using it. Never used a chamois though.

It just says "man made". It is kind of leathery feeling, but cloth-like too. Like a thin foam in the middle with a tacky feeling layer on the outside.

It dried very fast, and it dried the car without any other towels or wringing it out. Rubbed it on a cd (if that's the test) with no scratching, just cleaned the cd pretty well. The cd sticks to it too--literally. Holding up the towel the cd stuck to it. Really odd material. I guess there's nothing wrong with it, it was just strange drying the car with a towel that wants to stick rather than pull evenly. Like you should lay it down & pat it to soak up water rather than drag it down the hood or wipe with it.

I've used it four or five times now without any problems. You are right though, it sticks to the surface unless the cloth has some water in it. I just try not to wring all the water out of it and it doesn't seem to stick as much but still absorbs well.

Nope, just says about the same as the webpage. I think CMA printed the label that was in the bag, the site says the instructions were in German (not sent with it). No label on the towel.

My experience with DWT is that it works great as a thirsty first pass chamois. I open it wide and throw it out over a large surface, like the hood, roof or windshield and pull it towards me. Slurp! The majority of the water is gone. The P21S towel acts the same way. You can only run it in one direction on the surface of the car. They suck up a lot of water, but take a little getting used to.
