Degreaser to clean rims?

Elite M.D

I have done this a couple times and I am just wondering if degreaser is safe to spray on rims? I have done it to my moms Jeep (beater car) and it has worked great. I spray it on to the rims and tires, let it sit for 15-30 secs then hose it off.

I usally use Degreasers to Clean Wheel Wells,Tires and Rims I use EF HI most of the Time Diluted ofcourse and Meguiars APC+ Diluted and Simple Green. They all work great clearcoated wheels are pretty tought Chrome wheels even more Its ok to use any good wheel cleaner as long as its 100% acid free.

PS what degreaser did you use on those wheel/tires it came out really good.

It is made by Tri-Star auto car and it is called Super Degreaser. It doesnt look like it has any acid in it. Tri-Star products are very similar to Car Brite. The degreaser I used it very similar to Car Brites All Purp degreaser ( http://www.carbrite.com/servlet/com.ebiz.ecom.search.DetailsPublic?itemid=F002&loc=All Purp) , just a little stronger.

Yep see in my thread called Meguiars Detailer Review in the Car car products descussion. It stands for All Purpose Cleaner Plus it has many dilutions although there is lots of other APC's out there I like this one 4star also makes a good one I hear.
