What kind of degreaser should i use for my tires? They need to be cleaned really well. I was going to use Simple Green, but I have aluminum wheels! Is there any other degreaser that would work that is safe for aluminum? Thanks!

I'm going to try Greased Lightning, but thats pretty strong. I think if you spray it, scrub, and just wash fast enough you should be fine. BTW are you up for this Sat?

No, Greezed Lightning will stain aluminum as fast as any degreaser (like upon contact). I use this stuff called Alumakleen from Showbike (Look on the Premium Auto Care website). It works very well on my Corvette's Fully polished (raw, no clear) aluminum wheels and works on tires as well.

grez-off

maybe degreaser stains i dont know . but i have been using this stuff called grez -off. to clean all rims and tires and i must say it has gone perectly with no mess-ups and i have been using it for quite some time now. also simple green. a small amount of car wash soap a half a spray bottle filled with either cleaner and maybe 20oz of water and it works amazing. on everyhting! no stains nuthin. i could be taking a huge chance but it says it is safe to use even with out dilution! but the shit is so strong and open cuts on hands or anyhting sting like muther efer if you come in contact with it .

Raw polished aluminum is totally different. Many will say "Safe for all wheels" like A2Z and others. Sure, it won't EAT up my wheels, but it will make me polish them again.

i didnt even relize it said polished aluminum about your wheels . my bad im sorry. my gsxr is all polished aluminum fram rearsets wheels. i use blue magic on it . and p21s cycle cleaner but afterwards it needs blu magic polishing for sure
