got out of work a little early today, so I took advantage of the weather and took the MR2's summer tires off and cleaned up the motor on the Accord.
Before:
After:
Didn't really have the time to do a full blown detail on it yet, as a friend of mine came over just before I finsihed the the motor and we had a few things to do. . .
I used a 1:10 SG to H2O mixture, a plain H2) spray bottle, a stiff brush and a terry cloth to acheive this. I sprayed it down the the SG, aggiated with the brush, started the car and rinsed it down with the H2O.
I repeated on the really nasty parts to get em spify clean. I went for a quick drive and when I cam back, I opend the hood again an the black plastic trim under the hood looks brown again, but all I did was SG to remove the grease.
A "proper" detail will come in the spring when it's warm enough to devote the time needed on this car. . .
