Deep scratch on rim

I tried to do a search but there were no results!



I guess the scratch occurred when I was parking on a side street. I got too close to the curb and scratched one of the rims up. The scratch goes nearly all the way around the wheel, and is pretty deep.



What's the best way to remove the scratch?
 
If it's that big and bad, you're probably better off sending the wheel out for repair.



It runs about $100 to refinish a wheel. Do a search for wheel repair.
 
If it were me, I would send it out. My local autotire store takes care of this type of thing. I saw a guy bring in a Z06 wheel that was heavily damaged....just so happened to see the same wheel a week later and it was perfect.



I believe the wheels get machined and each wheel's deminsions are loaded into the computer, very slick setup and works very well.
