Deep Purple?

My Nova has reached it's 90 day mark since it was painted. It is House Of Kolor purple (forgot what the manufacture calls it) topped with 6 coats of clear. It has ghost flames along the sides that stretch back through the doors.



As soon as it returns from the speed shop in a few days I plan on detailing the paint. It will only be driven occassionally and will always be garaged and covered.



What preparation steps would others suggest to produce an ultimate deep wet show car shine? I want to use a carnauba paste LSP.



I already have a PC, pads and a hugh supply of waxes, polishes, sealers etc...



I haven't decided on the wax brand yet. I have a collection of about 20 different types ranging from Poorboy's Natty's Blue to Zymol Vintage Estate Glaze.

Simply stunning!



If durability isn't a problem, go with the Zymol Estate Glaze.



If you don't mind me asking, what did that paint job cost you?

I just had it de-tuned to be a bit more street friendly and run on pump premium. About 900 at the flywheel.



It's only used to get the groceries once in awhile. :chuckle:

I just had it de-tuned to be a bit more street friendly and run on pump premium. About 900 at the flywheel.



It's only used to get the groceries once in awhile.

That's true considering it was 117° in the shade a couple days ago. :cooleek:



Does anyone have any suggestions about the prep? :waxing:
 
I would polish with Menzerna PO85RD or Final Polish II, then top with Poorboy's EX+ (if durability is a bit of an issue) and/or TOL's Trade Secret.

Would you recommend applying a pure glaze after the polish prior to the carnauba?

I have heard that. I think I'll be safe. :)
 
Does that paint really need to be polished?? Are there defects that need to be dealt with?



Why not a glaze followed by your Zymol??
