Deep Gloss Auto Salon: Ferrari Scuderia

Fellow autopians I know you can help me. :) My 99 Nissan Maxima's weather stripping around the drivers door is sticking when I open the door. The rubber sticks to each other and makes the sticking sound. What can I use to make the rubber not stick to each other and not turn the rubber brown. Will silicone spray work? What products do you recommend? Thanks in advance. :)

I used a light coat of glyceryn (I learned later that it just evaporates quicky) and 303 on top.

I used an old cotton sock as a glove and spread a light coat to all the rubber around the doors. I do this twice a year on both our cars and and the rubber is still like new!:D

There was a thread started later about greying weatherstrip you may want to read it.

Basically treat rubber weather seals like your tires.

Thanks for looking!

Outstanding! Love the extra attention given to the beautiful engine bay as well as how crisp and tight the reflections were when all was said and done. Outstanding work and another hard-earned happy client!

OUTSTANDING CORRECTION!!!!!!!:drool5: sun shots are on point. "Thats brill that is".

Don't you love the lexan rear engine cover, have to dis-assemble the two support bars (hex) to properly clean it(suckness) especially when you drop one of the fasteners in the engine bay(and take 1.5 hours to get it back!!!!).

Man, that's reflective paint at it's best! Excellent work!

It's fun doing engine details on those rear engine 360/430 Ferrari's isn't it... not! Actually, it is fun but it kills my back.

Totally out of the park work, thanks for posting!:Dancing Dot:
