Deep Gloss Auto Salon: BMW 335xi - Jet Black

I see there is quite a few posts devoted to this wonderful topic. Microfiber towels are certainly great assetts to any serious detailer. Personally, I've spent $800 in microfiber towels in the last 12 months. I've tried so many of them that I'm embarassed of all the money that I've spent.

I was probably one of the very first persons who observed or noticed that the Miracle Towels changed in the middle of last year. There were many subtle differences that I pointed out to my good buddy Tim. He did some research for me and confirmed that they were different. At any rate, these towels are still the best out there. Yes, they are the best. If money is not an option and you simply want to get the best towel, then look no further than to CMAs Miracle Towel (Magic Towel). Tim also sells this exact towel under a different name (Ultimate Towel) through his website, www.tacscar.com. Steve also sells the same towel through his website as well. Again, these are the best towels that I have found. There were many stories of serious linting or even moderate linting. What people fail to realize is that these towels have 90,000 fibers per square inch. There is bound to be some very light linting. I simply NEVER experienced the problem the way that it has been reported here. Perhaps I was lucky. But come on, I have bought well over 40 Miracle Towels and I've never had a problem with any of them. Now the 2nd best microfiber towel in my opinion is the neatitems towel. For the price, it is a very good deal. I sent many out to many of my Autopian friends and all have reported to me through personal email or throught this board that they indeed liked the towels. Its just abundantely clear to me that the neatitems towels are not as plush or soft as the Miracle Towel. And so far, nothing is. The Nicsand towels are a product that I will never use on my paint. I absolutely hate the hemmed edge of that towel. At any rate, if it works for you then use it. I wouldn't recommend it to others though. Laters.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only 'nut' who has spent a small fortune on mf towels. I've just gotten too cheap to buy any more of the MTs. But just like you, I'm sold on micro fiber. I'm even wearing some TravelSmith mf underwear right now! Maybe that's more information than you really wanted to know, but you gotta try them!! (And no, I did not test them on a cd to see if they scratch!!!)

Did you ever try any of the bath towel size mfs? We've been using them out of the shower (my wife said no way can I use them on the cars!) They have an odd feel on your skin as they don't slide like a regular cotton towel, but they dry your skin really well.

Sorry about being off topic.

Nice Job! Sexy car. A buddy of mine has the same exact car only with Metallic Black and red interior. I am linking him to your post so he could see how nice his car could look after a pro detail.
Thanks, Joe D.

Once again, very nice work. I love that car. I have a 2006 330xi, but the black really makes a difference. I would let you work on my car any day:clap:

Awesome work Jason! I have been using HDR for a little while now (are you using Photomatix?).

Did you ever hook up with the guy with the M3?

Thanks Todd...

I had my assistant/apprentice/photographer :D take them and he did all off the work with the hdr's...

I will be taking care of him in a few weeks... Thanks again!:cornut::Christmas Hat:

Sexy car indeed and when it is done right like you have, black looks like it is always wet. Thanks for sharing.

Appreciate the kind words...

great work as always.

Thanks a lot broker!!!

Awesome work Jason, great to see it here at TID. Looks very sexy the Bimmer!

Angelo... Thank you Sir!

Golrgeous work my friend. I have that car in Black Sapphire (minus that beautiful CF rear diffuser) and you're right about black looking good when it's done like that!

I'm curious if you found the paint on the hard side. I'm guessing that M105 suggested that. The earlier model BMW E9x JB was notoriously super soft but I did an 09 JB BMW and it was a b***h to correct. I suspect they hardened up the paint for later models.
