I tried a few of the CMA Miracle Towels a few months ago, and returned them due to heavy linting. I tried a number of other ones, but all had similar linting problems.

I haven't been actively reading the forums for the past couple months, so I searched for any posts I may have missed, and found nothing definitive. Please let me know if I missed a particular thread.

Are there any plush (i.e., non-scratching) MF towels currently available from anywhere which don't exhibit significant linting?

I love everything else about MF towels, but their linting just kills me.

How about the new ones at CMA, or the ones at TACSCAR? YoSteve.com still seems to be having problems.

Thanks.

Turtle Wax has new plush MF towels(not the chamois type Miracle Towels they sell) that definitely do not scratch. I only washed it once and it has not linted yet. I do not know if they withstand multiple washings though. Very good towel and it is cheap.

3M Perfect It Show Car Detailing Cloths are another quality alternative. They were recommended to me by a high end auto painter and I'm very pleased with their performance on black paint. They aren't exactly what I call plush but they seem to hold a large amount of wiped off wax while still being effective. The other plus is they have zero lint.

im about to buy some microfiber towels too. but which one do u guys think is best between the Magic Towel at properautocare or the Ultimate Towel at tcascar?

So far my best buys as far as MFs have been the neatitems and the MFs from YoSteve.com. Not sure about Yo's supply on hand but I'm sure he'll chime in. If he has them in stock, you can't go wrong.

Are those towels the same plushness as the "Magic Towel"? I have a bunch of MF's that are all different plushness and the less plush ones are the ones that don't seem to lint. I got an Edgetech from Kleanride that is nice and no lint, but not as plush as the others...

Experiment and tell us what you find works best for you. I have several brands and none of them lint. Nicsand, UNKNOWN Pep Boys, Neat Items, Micro Fiber Unlimited, Turtle Wax.

I do notice when machined wash and put in dryer they pick up lint and then lay that crap down. So I hand wash all of them now in my wash bucket and hang to dry. I have a dust bunny problem in my laundry room.

Also if you store them touching cotton or other types of fibers I notice they tend to pick them up and they look like lint.

Zip Lock baggies now!

I'm comparing the towels to some of my old MT's which were the best and have gone down hill like most of the others. The YoSteve's were the closest with the neatitems a close 2nd. If YS has them in stock, I think they are the best deal. If they aren't up to his standards like a previous batch, he'll return them and won't ship them out to us. Again, check out his site and see if they are in stock and if not, grab a few neatitems to tide you over. On another note...... I've found that washing them in the washing machine is fine as long as you don't have any residue of softner in there. I use mostly softner sheets so I don't have the problem. After washing them I hang dry them also. I've found that if I throw them in the dryer I run into the problem of again the softner getting on them which leaves hazing on the paint and also major static. Now the static at least on my car causes the dust to kind of just move along the paint and not get picked up. But if they are hung to dry .... no probs.

I just got 10....5 white and 5 blue. from there....if you buy in 5's there's some kind of deal....the white ones are very plush and the blue ones less.....so you get to pick what you want to do with it......

I dont have a dryer anymore so I just wash them by hand and hang'em up to dry....there's no lint at all....I've used 3 of them so far...2 white and 1 blue....I use them mostly for the interior and my chrome wheels......anything that goes near the paint I only use the miracle towel from CMA(magic towel)....

for some reason from all that I've read here i am always thinking that the blue ones are for more sensitive jobs....plastic/metal polishing...etc....

Here is the url for the Neatitems micro fiber towels.

I don't know why, but I've also found some colors of Neatitems towels to be plusher than other colors. The plushest and softest ones were the mint green followed by the white, but all of them are very good.
