is this a "true" polish, as what meg's online says or is this really a Glaze? are there any abrasives in this product? does this have a filing properties?

Deep Crystal polish is a non-abrasive non-cleaning pure polish (really just a glaze) and is sole purpose is to create a really nice gloss. If you need a paint cleaner, then this is not the product to use. The Deep Crystal paint cleaner is a chemical cleaner for very light cleaning. It does not contain any diminishing abrasives, so it's not very effective at removing defects. Bpth are nice products for their intended use.

My understanding is that it's a glaze similar to #7 but with less oils (and therefore easier to apply and remove)

i think DC#1 is the paint cleaner.

deep crystal polish is DC#2.

thats right. I was looking on their site tonight, my mom has some in her garage and wants me to do her Jeep Cherokee. also found a new bottle of gold class wax. need to get something on her truck before the ugly weather gets here.

According to megs, you may apply the aforementioned products via pc.

DC 1 has *very* little corrective ability/polishing.

DC 2 is very much a glaze and works well by hand. Just make sure you keep it very thin, otherwise, gets a bit smeary.

Very little. It is made to work with the step 1 cleaner, which has more of a polishing effect. Megs DC will bring respectable results on a good paint surface that doesn't need major polishing, and it offers a good start point for beginners into the never ending discovery of detailing products. It is also a nice clean, polish and wax product set for those that desire to detail by hand.

There is much, much, much more in store for you in terms of results, however, that can be found in a wide array of other products and methods. As soon as you get a comfort level with the megs, don't hesitate to try out new and different detailing products.
