Decided to start up a mobile...

Mobile*Werks

gettin' it done RIGHT
My co-worker and I decided to startup a Mobile Auto Detailing Service...since this is the Professional Detailing Corner...I was wondering what advice would you give to someone like me getting into detailing?

And also any place you guys would recommend getting supplies...you guys talk about PoorBoys a lot, should I give them a try? :dunno

I enjoy detailing cars beacuse of the outcome i get!!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

You can't go wrong with any of the sponsors on this site, they all have excellent customer service and great products. I don't do a lot of bulk work mainly 2 or so cars a month (plus my own), but I like the Poorboy's line for the ease of use and the price. Good luck on your venture I wish you the best.

I agree with travisdecpn . PB has a great line of buffing compounds, polishes, sealants and waxes. Not to mention waterless carwash products.

get some decent streak free car wash soap. Nothing fancy just cheap for dirty cars . QEW is great for semi-dirty, spray N wipe for not so dirty. That way you have alot of options if you don't have water. Speaking of water , are you going to use your own or the customers? I use my customers and haven't lost any business because of it. Think about electricity also.

Have you come up with any logo's yet ? don't go cheap on business cards or flyers as this will be the first impression people will have of you and your bus. I would say the same thing goes with pricing. Too low and people start to wonder why? Call around and research what other detail shops are charging.

Well thats alittle of the top of my head . There are alot of threads on this subject so just do a search or check the stickys on the top of each category . We have alot of intelligent members here and they have shared their knowledge for everybody . I learned most of my stuff here.

Good luck with your business.
