Decent Price wax

I don't get the fascination with topping sealants. Just use what looks best to you. If you have to apply it more often, so be it. Don't make this more complicated than it has to be. Wash, clay, polish, seal.

IMHO the only useful thing to top a sealant with is with a spray wax/QD spray to refresh the gloss/finish after washing. I like Lucas Slick Mist for that.

akimel - I think Collinite 845 should be classified as a sealant. I understand that the carnauba composition is relatively low, % of the mixture. Primarily polyethylene wax from what I understand.

Hows Megs#26 in terms of protection? Rite now I only have three waxes. TW Platinum Series, Mother Pure Carnuba(the one in the can) and P21S (not the 100% carnuba one, but the one with the blue lid)

Should I add #26 to the list?

You don't need any more waxes. All of those should be fine waxes for using a nicely cleaned/preped surface.

I thought Collinite only carries Wax.

IMO "wax" gets used in a rather generic manner. IMO their most durable products (476S/885 and 845) have a significant synthetic content and probably little real carnauba wax (hence the 915 being their "high-carnuaba" product).

I read somewhere that 845 supposedly has "resins" in it, which presumably contribute to its durability.

IMO these are wax/sealant hybrids or "synthetic waxes". But it's all pretty much a lot of word games IMO just like the way people use "polish".

Yes, I wasn't sure which category, waxes or sealants, to put 845 and 476s into. I finally decided to put them into the wax category simply because they both contain carnauba, no matter how miniscule.

And they're not finicky about what you apply them over, unlike most sealants.
