I know many of you are going to the Detail Fest in Stuart, Florida. I am going to go but I can't decide if I should enter my car. I'm very proud of my car and I've never seen one like mine as clean or new looking. I break my butt keeping it that way and it shows. The problem is, it's just an ordinary car, all original, and all stock. I would hate to be parked between 2 Ferrari's and look like a laughing stock. I've never been to Detail Fest before so I'm not sure how it works. Are there other people going that are showing their plain, ordinary, yet, magnificently clean cars? Are all the cars judged? I'm trying to decide what to do. Thanks.

Enter it. Who knows, more people may be looking at your ride than the two ordinary Ferrari's parked next to you.;)
 
IME well-detailed "regular" cars are generally more impressive than pampered garage-queen toys.



FWIW, when the PCA concours guys toured Stoddard's body shop, the manager had them oohing-and-ahing over my *minivan*, which was in for a little work. He knew they'e be more impressed with *that* than something in the same condition that never saw hard use. I kinda take more pride in it than of, say....my S8, for the exact same reason.
 
Thanks for the advice! I guess I'll go ahead and enter it. What's the worse that could happen, right?

Yep. Base model Eclipse....I had to borrow some glass cleaner form Meghan because the windows were filthy and I could barely see out of them at night! :D





I just parked out towards the entrance....you may be able to see it in some of the DF4 pics. It was a light green color.
 
When you pay the $20, you get the option to park in a special area. There were some nice cars in the area along with a commercial van if I recall. Depending on when you arrive, you can make the decision when you get there. The $20 gets you the goodie bag and some raffle tickets.
