This car has only been washed 3 times since 1989. Here's what I did:

Washed

Washed and Clayed

AIO X 2

Topped with #26.

Grandma is not the best driver, so it has alot of scratches, chips, and dents that I can't touch.

It's not perfect, but it is a major improvement. Thanks to all of the Guru's here for the tips and info!!

thats the kind of car I love doing.... ones where you can truly see and feel the difference when you're done.... great work man!! :xyxthumbs

WOW! :shocked

As Jngr would say... "BEHOLD, the power of AIO"

Really nice job man :xyxthumbs

If that's not an advertisement for AIO, than I don't know what is!

When you finished, did grandma give you a nickel and tell you to get a piece of bubblegum ;)

Again, nice job...and a good deed!

I like doing nasty one's too, but not too often. Took 4 hrs in 98 degree Carolina heat. She gave me a bright shiny nickel, and 2 pieces of bubblegum. Actually she asked me how much she owed me for having her car painted.

:bow :bow Behold indeed... :D Gotta love the oxidation removing powers of AIO. I scrolled through the pictures before I read the text and thought it would be a good project for AIO. Then I saw the 'after' pictures and hurried back up to see what you used. lol If that hadn't been AIO you used then I wanted to know what it was so I could get some. :bigups Very excellent work. :bow

Classic! Wish I was there to hear that. Sounds like my grandma too! :lol :lol

Thats a nice job can you do that kind of job by hand or Rotary I only have those 2 :).

By the way great job :bow

I did it all by hand. I have a PC, but I had some time and I just love to rub metal. I think being an Autopian is a disease, but I don't want the cure!!

:bow

"you are the man!"

looks beautiful, after compared to before. Hard to believe that much of a difference can happen overnight!

WoW

will aio make a big difference on a newer paint like say a 2001 with no 21k miles on it (not my truck wink wink) or should i continue to use the s100 sec.....man i might be an aio convert soon lol......

//MMMGood I may let it get that bad again just to see the results again. I couldn't believe how easy the AIO was to use, and how well it worked. Thank you Jngrbrdman for spreading the gospel about the Klasse Twins!! Here is one more amazing AIO pic.

Did you use a PC or do it by hand? If by hand, thats very impressive works. Must have been nice to see your grandmother so happy.

how hard is this to do by hand? I'm planning on doind my dad's 85 corolla by hand, and wanna know how much work I have ahead of me. . .

use alot of pressure? moderate? little?

I saw you did 2 coats of AIO, so I'm thinking it'll take me about 3 coats for this car. . .

I used moderate pressure with a terry applicator. You will be surprised at how easy it is to put on and take off. I am by no means an expert with this stuff, but the great thing is it doesn't take an expert. It is not much more trouble than applying liquid #26 and removing by hand. I used it on the aluminum and plastic trim as well and it worked great on them.
