Dealer instaled swirls (updated w/ pics)

Last week I started a thread asking for help/advice on dealing with dealer installed swirls on a new black Z4. The car is in now having a rear spoiler installed and they are going to look at it and let me know exactly how it will be fixed. I'm still unsure if I want them to fix it or if I should do it myself.

My original plan was to get a PC from Lowes and then some yellow and white pads from CMA. I was going to use either DACP or PI-III but have recently been reading about the Menzerna twins. Here a couple of pics of the swirls.

If I decide to do this myself which product would work best at removing these swirls?

Like waxes, alot of abrasives do the same job in slightly different ways.

Some are easier to use than others, some give a better result for less work than others.

They also work quite differently depending if theyre used with a PC or a rotary.

I personally use the Megs line.

Its not that other stuff doesnt work, but megs is available locally and I'm pretty proficient with it now.

DACP and a cutting pad should make a pretty big impact on those marks as long as its followed by a good topper, tho which one I dunno as you havnt specified.

Thanks Smoker. I had planned on doing AIO/SG/S100 but I have been delayed on getting started until the swirl issue has been resolved.

from the pics it looks like #9 and DACP can take care of em. You may already know, but use the mildest, see if it works, and then move up to something more aggressive.

See if you can get the dealer to pay a detailer of your choice to remove the swirls.

Good luck! :bounce
