Dealer detail jobs?

Just looked through the local job advertisements. VW dealer is looking for 'Valet Technicians'. Part of the ad says.....Commitments to quality and attention to detail as well as enthusiasm and commitment to the brand are of the highest importance. Doesn't sound too bad does it........until you read.....able to work in a fast-moving team. Work quick and get on with the next one........:( oh those poor cars

MattB, if you need/want a pro to do it why not just ask on here for one.

Who would you trust the most, someone you picked blindly from a phone book or someone who was reccomended on here??

I know what my choice would be.......

Good point. I posted a topic here looking for one.

yea I noticed, I saw it later :)

You said at the begining you like detailing, so why pay someone to do it? If you are lacking in a bit of confidence (with a black car), maybe a detailer from here will be prepared to let you watch them do your car so you can learn, its always worth asking :)

The only reason I'd pay somone to do it is that since the car has never had a heavy detail job done on it, it could use some serious buffing to get some small scratches out and only a professional job could probably do a good job on that....

Speaking as a professional detailer, many of my customers would never consider having their new car cleaned and preped by the dealer. When they take delivery of their new car they call and make an appointment to have it detailed professionally.

Same here. They get a new car and call me out to wax it. The high end dealers here, like Moritz BMW are notorious for leaving buffer swirls all over the cars they prep.
