DC Love Fest and Group Hug

Spent a lot of time here coz it's the friendliest and fun board that I have stumbled upon, always full of helpful advice and a great place to learn a thing or two.:bigups . It's like my big family I guess :-p

As for my fav members, well too many to mention in case I miss a name or two . Thanks to the mods and admins for putting up with us too :dancin :paper

ps: A couple of members don't have avatars, what happened to some of them, Boss has lost his ?

Well, I'd like to say that I've found DC to be like a small community of like-minded folk that share a similar passion. I've learned an great deal in the almost one year that I've been a member here, and now I find that I can be of some small help to others.

There are a lot of great individuals on here and so many have contributed to my learning and understanding of detailing. There was a time before DC that all I knew was to wash and wax!

I also appreciate DC because it is a site that does not tolerate vulgarity, fowl language, and outright sexual indecency. I've been to a board once, not a detailing site, that was so full of what I just mentioned, it made me sick.

The sponsors of the board are top-notch, reliable and offer great products and customer service. Dwayne has a great thing going here and I for one want to be a apart of it and to do my part in keeping it the place for which he has a vision.

There are a lot of individuals on here that I really appreciate and am glad to know - if even though it is from a distance.

Now, as for the group hug thing, I have just two things to say....

1) It would take a group to hug the Whaler! :)

2) Having been raised by wolves, I never did learn to do group hugs, however, I can chase down wild game on foot with the best of them! :)

and

still no one loves me...:(

well... I love DC..I found my zen detail master CleanDean here..

Woob and ZymolK - My NC detail posse

I'm sure Dwayne likes me since I spent more money this year on detail products than toothpaste (my car shines - my teeth don't :lol).

Steve and Marj - Nick - Rabbi - EB - JB man (I can never spell your whole thing out)

91LSMAN (who I will never let forget I told him about this site :lol)

GSRStilez - who does not wear socks with sandals, jean shorts or polo shirts with the collar up..

The Fuzz - the man who makes a mullet look cool (well okay not totaly ridiculous..well it looks good on him..well at least it's not highlighted)

Zestyman - aloha!

CharlesW and Bigron - gruff but loveable

Don and his yellow Cav - :)

TCfool and his huge freakin arms

Keeotee - woof woof woof

and of course CAKE and CAKE WASH..:lol

HUMBUG! What a load of crap! :( What we need here is less love and more automatic weapons.

Does everybody promise to take a shower before the "big group hug"? Especially the Whaler! :lmfao

I love Detail city because it is so much like a family ... Old, young, male, female ... and each member can bring something of value to the family, whether it is good sound advise or a question that opens up a new way of doing things for all of us. I cannot say I have a favorite member but I have a lot of respect for many, including AWD330, Boss, Poorboy(Steve), and others who not only bring a wealth of knowledge to DC but are willing to share it with the rest of us.
My favorite comment came from Zesty-man:

"oh i forgot, i find washing to be a real hassle. maybe my techniquie is wrong or something, but it takes me about an hour to just wash and dry a car. maybe im doing something wrong? what i like to do is start with the rims and tires first, then the roof, and work my way down. for some odd reason, it takes me forever, and i always end up wetting myself somehow."
Zesty, "I hope that problem has been resolved"
Hey, this is what family is all about :)

That's great!

Zesty is always good for a memorable quote! Just check out my signature. :naughty

Don't ever change zesty-man!
