Dawn really DOES work...

I didn't actually Dawn wash the truck yesterday, but when I was cleaning off my applicator at the kitchen sink, my hands were getting just a bit slimy from the wax residue I was washing out.

Quickly I remembered my Autopia gurus and the "Dawn wash" and reached down below the sink and grabbed the DAWN and put a dab on the applicator and began rubbing it in. The effect it had on the wax was INSTANT!

I just couldn't believe how well Dawn worked. What a wax stripper!

Silly me.

p.s. Oh yeah... The "2-bucket wash method" works too. One for soap, one for rinse. Thanks to all the experts.

I usually use a little dab o' Dawn to clean my waxing pads. I use Klasse, and the great thing about it is it pretty much cleans up with water!

I use a big sink of warm soapy water with dawn to clean my MF towels and applicators. It works great. :up A little bit of AIO helps clean stuff up too. I used AIO to get the red oxidation that I removed off my father-in-law's truck off my applicators and towels. Works like a charm.

Does Dawn make a laundry soap or just dishwasher soap? If they don't, what would be an alternative product?

...Dawn laundry soap? I don't think they make that. I'm nearly positive that they specialize in dishwashing stuff. I don't even think they make automatic dishwasher detergent. I've never washed my towels in the washing machine so I really don't know of a good alternative. Cheer, maybe?

They make dawn laundry soap, it's called a couple of teaspoons of the dish washing stuff right in your clothes washer :)

actually I use dawn in the washer all the time to clean my microfiber towels

just make sure you don't fill it past half because the suds go about double on the highest setting (and an extra rinse, if your washer has one) or you can just start it up again, ensures all the dawn comes off. It gets it nice and super clean.

Hmm... I think I'm going to have to try that.

I only have a few so I still do it by hand ...
