Dawn Power Dissolver

Curious if anyone's been crazy enough to try it on carpets yet?

I come across some pretty horrid stuff that couldn't be made worse, so I was wondering if this might be a viable option?

I have seen a lot of references to this (DPD). Where is everyone getting it now....I haven't been able to find it locally.

Walmart.

If you are serious, invest in some dedicated commercial carpet pre-treat. It should work on 95% of carpet stains.

Have you tried an APC?

Im sure DPD wouldnt make it worse...

I'm not sure what sort of APC you are using, but Dawn Power Disolver is WAY stronger than any of the car oriented APC's I have tried.

I use this stuff at work in the kitchen haha!!

I use meguiars quick out in the airsol can to clean carpets and it does an amazing job.

Gusbubba, you could try this:

Stain Removal Kit

Or, if you're like me and stick to over-the-counter products, the makers of WD-40 make a product called CR Spotless that works OK on grease and oil.

Actually, WD-40 itself is fantastic for grease and oil, then use APC at 5:1 to remove the WD-40 left behind.

Stick with Folex and APC on the carpets! DPD suddes to much on carpet! Trust me! DPD is my go to clean all my buffer pads though! Disolves wax great!!

THANK YOU ,max, THAT was the info I was looking for.

Would you say that the suds are too much for an extractor to take care of?

Not concerned MUCH with the aftermath here, vehicles are auction turds.

Not sure Gus dont have extractor. But it would be worth a shot. It's not as sudsy as dish soap, it's a gel that's supposed to cling to dishes to disolve grease and food. When I wash my pads off it does sud up but not like dish soap. I have used it on carpet and it works great on stains but as you agitate it it multiplys very fast if you know I mean! And it was a pain to get out!! Multiple rinses and extractions with a shop vac, you really have to soak the carpet to remove it! Hope that helps? By the way it works wonders on Gym shoes!!!
