Dats my boy........

Ronkh- I simply *love* your son`s white C3! Gotta say that I think white is *great* on yours too..don`t like it on every car, but !oh man! do I like it on C3&C7 `vettes...absolutely perfect IMO.

512Detail- Hellcats and other LX-platform cars have that potential rocker panel rust issue, whereas `vettes don`t ;) Sorry, couldn`t resist as that`s simply a deal-breaker for me with the MOPARS.

Rocker panels won`t rust on mine either and I live in salt land of Wisconsin. Neither will I get door dings

512Detail- Lest anybody misinterpret my paranoia about the LX Rocker Rust, it`s strictly a "How *MY* Luck Goes" thing...while I`m generally one *very* lucky guy, certain one-per-million vehicle problems find me *every* time.

Leaving aside that, to be serious...the LX`s don`t work for me for other reasons anyhow :(

And after my last `vette I realized that they`re not for *me* either, but I still think those white C3/C7 look great.

my car has never seen snow.

I am quite familiar with that issue, however, from my 6+ years on LXforums

now of course I am not vette bashing- I`m just not interested in them.

that`s the beauty of a free market economy- we can select whatever vehicle we wish to afford

I`ll still detail any car- but my heart is Mopar

512Detail- Heh heh, just as *my* heart is, specifically 1970 Model Year MOPAR :D

On the LX rust thing, there`s a guy here from AZ whose car has never seen *anything* that might cause rust, yet he had a new rocker welded in recently. That`s how *my* luck would go!

I guess I comment on the LXs so much because I really wish one would work for me as well as the Crown Vic does...I know I`d have a lot more fun with the MOPAR so it`s a Forbidden Fruit sort of thing for me.

I checked mine a few years ago and no rust... for all I know it could be rusted now

you think some IronX will do the trick? hahaha

I don`t wanna get the derailment GIF

513Detail- My growing interest in (not to say "obsession with" :o ) the underneath probably factors in here :D

Back to the `vettes- I was utterly *NUTTY* about those undercarriages even by Autopian standards, used Souveran of all things on the underneath of the Mallett, every wash..."nutty" indeed. If I had Ron`s C7 I`d probably be under there more than I`d be behind the wheel!

If I had a lift, I would be.... But until the *diet* Jen has me on kicks in, me no fit there.

Heh heh, jacks and stands m` boy, jacks and stands :D

And of course... [INSERT usual lecture about getting yourself in shape ;) ]

Putting the Mallett up on the lift I used to have was such a PIA that I only did it that way a few times.

I hear a lot of mechanics are under there more than the owners are behind the wheel--- ouch --- had to do it - haha

I keep hoping Ron avoids all the unscheduled maintenance I hear about, though the way he had to have that paintwork done doesn`t exactly engender confidence. I keep thinking that he must *REALLY* love that car...we all have our deal-breakers and OTOH the stuff we`re able to live with, different for everybody.
