Danase.com experiences?

I recently ordered 2 bottles of Danase Wet Glaze from Danase.com on Thursday of last week (September 3rd).

Fast forward to today (end of business day 6pm central/7pm eastern), and the order has still merely been approved, but not shipped. Essentially I was charged for the order 5 days ago.

I recently emailed Danase.com, so I hope to get a response. I'm not mad at all, and realize we just had a holiday weekend. However, I thought my order could ship out friday (the day after I ordered), or at the very least today (Tuesday following labor day).

From the endless searching on this board, I've decided to use the DWG and Ultima combo and can't wait. I've also read the main guy at Danase is a stand up guy. I just hope nothing bad has happened on his end for this delay, but maybe I'm blowing things out of propotion.

Anyway, what are your experiences with Danase.com in regards to shipping? Thanks to you for any advice or experiences you may have had before.

UPDATE

So, this experience has come to a complete surprise ending. I'm happy as a pig in...well...you know.

Bob just emailed me, and said

Brian,

Sorry you did not get any tracking code. It looks like it was delivered today?

I click his link to my tracking number. It's delivered this afternoon. Sure enough I open my door a few minutes ago, and it's sitting there, two sweet sweet bottles of Danase Wet Glaze.

The package was delivered at around 1pm today, I was staining my fence in the backyard with the radio on, and missed any doorbell or delivery truck driver. I wasen't expecting a package obviously, since I had no tracking from Danase, and my order status was just confirmed, nothing about shipped.

It turned out it WAS shipped on friday, (the order was sent late thursday night). I apologized to Bob for the misunderstanding, but since I had no tracking and the luck of working out back, obviously I was in the dark.

UPGP gets here tomorrow from Autogeek ($35 per 12oz, I got 2). It's gonna be like Southwest Airlines in this mofo....IT'S ON!!!

Bob is a great guy and his shipping is beyond awesome! When I used to live in NE Ohio, if I ordered before 10am, he would ship the same day and got my order by noon the next day(be advised he lives in MI and I was a 3 hour drive away) And even now that I'm in Puerto Rico, I get my products very quick!

You will be blown by DWG, great product to say the least!

i ordered from them a long time ago and was not very happy with the service (all it takes is one bad experience and they've lost me as a customer). i sent payment and it was "forgotten" and then finally sent out. while i'm sure it was not intentional, i've found other vendors to order stuff from that i've been more than happy with...

I know bob is (at last I spoke with him) in the process of moving into a new warehouse. You might have just caught him in the middle of all this. He's always been top notch with anything I've ever needed.

:chuckle:

I know it's hard to be patient when you're dying for detailing supplies to come in so you can try them ....

Considering the holiday weekend it's not like it's been a 5 day work week since you ordered. My guess is it's got something to do with the holiday or you caught him at a bad time.

Personally I've had good experience with Danase (and all Autopia sponsors for that matter).

Like I said, I completely understand it was a holiday weekend so I'm not mad at Bob. Considering how fast he does ship, I'm surprised the order wasen't shipped Friday, and certainly surprised nothing happened today. I fully expect to hear something later tonight/tomorrow, and will update the thread accordingly.

Danase is a top shelf outfit, Bob is a top notch guy.

I am sure there is a good reason for this situation...

X2:werd: He's very customer~centric and is probably the most active reseller to ever be on Autopia. I don't see him as someone just trying to push product when he posts, but rather someone trying to give great, real world advice.

I try not to get in the habit of agreeing with David Fermani too often (mostly just to annoy him ;) ) but he's dead right on this one. Bob runs a top shelf operation, and carries great products. I haven't tried too many of the Danase labeled products, but the ones I have are among the best out there, and I have never had anything less than excellent customer service from Bob.

You're gonna be glad you ordered the DWG, even if it does take a while to get it.

Maybe he went on vacation for the holiday weekend?

Not at all, I just had a little chit-chat with him a couple of hours ago via e-mail. But, when he does go on vacation, he posts it on his website in big bold red letters.

I would recommend editing your first post with the resolution so people that do not read the whole post, get the wrong impression.

Glad the situation worked out and I would highly recommend using a DA to apply the DWG. It will come out great.
