Dakota/Durango wheels

I just washed and waxed my silver 2001 dakota i used megs #26... i was wondering what would be the best product to get a nice shine out of my wheels.. I use megs hot rims to clean them... thanks guys
 
can wax your wheels also. i use a durable paint sealant on my wheels. (ie. fk 1000P on the durango, os on the audi and upgp on the ford). so far i like 1000P or upgp the best on wheels. 1000P is probably what all my cars will end up wear on the wheels.
 
If you are inclined you can polish them, but if you have the rims I am thinking of, they are split 5 spokes.... ugh. A tash by hand for sure.



I been happy with a little wax like other have said. UPGP has been pretty good to me. I stay away from carnuba based products because wheels get hot, and it seems to break down too fast.
 
I use UPGP and stay away from stuff like Hot Wheels. Use the Hot Wheels one last time to get the wheels perfectly clean, then wash with a sponge and your car wash liquid. Dry and apply sealant. From there on out, the brake dust should come off easily with a sponge. I'd do one more coat of sealant next wash and then every four months two more coats. Now all you need is a sponge and car wash liquid so you don't damage your wheels going forward.
