DACP and Meg Hand Polish removal?

I've always found it easier to remove Meg's #7 and #9 with a good MF towel and to remove wax with a good cotton towel. I assumed that the DACP and Hand Polish would be the same way.



Last weekend we finally had some decent weather (70's) and I had the time to really go over the truck. My intentions were to *remove* (as much as possible with a ROB) spiderwebbing on a dark blue truck instead of covering it up like I've done in the past with #7 and #9. The proceedure I followed was:



1. wash/clay/wash

2. DACP - yellow pad (on 7424)

3. Meg's Hand Polish - white pad

4. NXT Tech Wax - gray pad

5. S100 - by hand



Initially I tried to remove the DACP and the Hand Polish with a MF but both products were leaving behind some type of residue that I could only get off with the cotton towels and a lot of effort. Both products seemed to be much harder to work with than other Meguiar's products I have used in the past. It was all done under a carport, I didn't let either one of them dry and I wasn't doing any area larger than a quarterpanel at a time. So typically, is that normal behavior for those two products?

PS - I'm not bashing the products, I LOVE the results they gave me, but it just seemed that it was much harder to remove than other Meg products I've used.

DACP You have to let it break down, meaning there are abrasives that break down and get smaller and smaller as you polish, you should work it until it is almost dry, not wet still. It should be a lot easier to get off then...and better results

As for the Hand Polish it is not a product that I use so I cant really comment on it.

you woild apply the hand polish as lightly as possible the same way as you would appy #7 so dont put too much or you will get dark sport and smearing. then you apply it lightly then remove it looks great
