DA Microfiber System....Z06...

I'm surprised nobody else has posted this kind of poll, but what is your favorite sythnetic polymer. Don't give me any of that "depends on what color" or "depends on what kind of shine you are looking for" stuff. :)

This is a poll simply to see which among the favorites here at Autopia is the most popular. I trust we'll keep it civil too. :)

My personal favorite is Zaino.

Yep, I can say some good things about several brands but if I was stranded on a deserted island with my car and one bottle, I would want it to have a Z on it.

Klasse provided a great shine, and is protecting the HECK out of my truck so far. Even through some really crappy weather - a few coats of SG are like armor plating - a quick wash, and the shine and beading were like a freshly waxed car. (did I add economical - I've done 3 cars so far, and I'm not even halfway through the bottles!). Add the carnuba topping of your choice - I can't see how you can possibly go wrong! :)

Zaino.... This way my car is the only one looking like plastic on the street and unique to everyone else. :D

Puter... How's the water beading on the model car? Pls do a REAL CAR!!! :D ;)

Ferrari F50, red. Metal car, not sure if it is clearcoated and am not about to test it :). I put 1 coat of KAIO on half of it and Z1/Z5 on the other half and evaluated, then did the same after 3 total zaino and 4 total klasse coats. Fun test.

Just tested the beading / sheeting abilities for ya:

Sheeting: Go zaino! 2 tiny beads on a small surface. Klasse, 3-4 small beads on the other side of the symmetrical car.

beading: Zaino had consistantly smaller beads than Klasse, but this was a panel with a only few inches of area. Carnauba (blitzed the hood over the k / z) had larger sloppier beads.

William: I'm gonna zaino my real car after I prep it for a while! Have to start workin on my repair techniques first . . . i'll do it soon i promise! right

im stickin with klasse baby! Might go for Blackfire on my black mercedes after hearing such good things about the blackfire polish. Zaino... never! Well maybe sometime :) .

AlBoston, congratulations on your new car!! I think with all the chrome layouts, altezza-like tail lights and silver paint, Zaino would look killer on that car. :)

Having experimented with the first three, Zaino has provided everything I am looking for. Impeccable shine, application is a breeze (not a real big factor) and unbelievable beading. The beads literally float on the surface vice sit there! Durability is jumping ahead of the others as well.

Even though this poll is slightly unfair because like myself most have not used all of the polymer sealants for direct comparison. With this said I love Zaino and the usage of other available products has never entered the picture. Why?? I am satisfied with my results. The Zaino shine seems to improve with subsequent washing. What more can one ask :xyxthumbs

Unless I find a durability problem I have to say that I prefer Blackfire over Klasse for apperance value. Blackfire topped with Pinnacle Paste Glaz looked better than Klasse topped with Pinnacle Paste Glaz. I liked the beading of Klasse but after I topped the Blackfire with carnuba the beading came back. The shine and reflection is better with Blackfire. Klasse may be a little eaiser to apply but I still have to say that given a choice I would choose Blackfire. It would be a very close judgment though. I'd rate BF a 10 and Klasse a 9.9. :)

Meguiar's#20 tends to go a little yellow after time. I use it around the inside of my doors but that's about it. I haven't had a durability problem with it yet. It still seems to be doing what I want it to do and its been over 6 months.

I recently did a test on some sword blades to see if there was a difference I could see between Blackfire, Klasse, and Meguiar's #20. I'll have to take pics of my findings. So far I think Klasse has protected the best. #20 seems to be harder to clean but the Blackfire is pretty much the same as Klasse. Klasse is a little eaiser to clean but it's a close call. I'll get some pictures so you can see what I mean.

Very awesome color on this thing! This isn?t exactly a dream car for me, but I?d love to have it!

Sorry about the before pictures. They just didn't come out too good(blurry), so I'm leaving them out.

Looks good. Why did you start off with M105?...Was the paint rough to start with?..Could not tell by pictures?

It wasn't horrible, but needed quite a bit. I was running seriously low on the DA Compound at the time, and M105 finishes out so beautiful with these pads. So I went for it lol
