I have tried D151 on several cars by rotary at 2.5 on the makita

It has caked up very quickly and left really bad holigrams

what am I doing wrong

used a yellow LC pad

even on the PC with a soft pad it dries up very quickly

Why are you using a yellow heavy cutting pad? This pad is designed for products such as M105. You need to use AT MOST, an orange pad. Softer paints will require white or black pads, otherwise they will hologram/swirl.

Wait I thought D151 was supposed to be via rotary and Wool pads?

I'm sure it works otherwise but that was the recommended way as I understood it.

Just went to the garage and checked the label to be sure but D-151 is also rec. for DA use. There are a separate list of directions for DA use. I have used several times with the DA and no issues but then again I do not own a rotary.
