Ok I just spent almost a whole day detailing my car...This was my procedure, Sonus oarnge pad with 1z pp on the hood roof and trunk. Sonus green pad with 1z pp on the entire car, Sonus blue pad with 1z mp on the entire car and then followed up with 1z gw and the next day put another coat of gw. The plan was to let the 2nd coat of gw dry and then apply pinnacle souveran. Well last night I went to my buddies so I figured I could just lightly wash the vehicle before my topper. The car is filthy now(covered in dust and got sprinkled on) can I just continue with my light wash and then my topper....will it be safe...do I need another coat of gw after my wash and then pinnacle souveran.:nixweiss
 
Another coat of GW can't hurt, but Souveran doesn't last all that long anyway, so I would maybe just wash it and top it. Then, after about 6-8 weeks, come back and apply another coat of GW and top again with Souveran. Once you do this, a maintenace coat of Souveran every 8 weeks is all you should need.

I don't think I'd do it that way. I'd probably spot-clay *very gently* any areas that might need it and see if I could get by with just the GW. If I really felt I needed to do more prep than that, I'd just do a light pass with the MP.



I suspect that the GW will prove more durable than you seem to expect ;)



[Edit:] Actually, if it were mine, I'd just plan to redo the Souveran every three-four weeks and not redo the GW for a long time if I could help it, much less use anything like the Sonus or the MP unless it's really needed. Just refreshing the topper might do fine for quite a while, though you do have to really clean the paint eventually.
 
Yeah maybe 6-8weeks would be to soon pwc, more like a minnimum of 3months and then reaply gw and souveran. Between that apply souveran every 2-3 weeks, sounds like a good plan. I shouldnt have to reaply the gw to soon considering there is 3 coats.
