Customers that touch your towels

Education means pretty much nothing if there isn't some pride in workmanship and care about the customer's property to go along with it. That pride and care are the whole problem I have with mechanics.

I have to agree. I can't think of one shop I've been to ever since I owned a vehicle that they didn't show any appreciation or respect to my vehicle's. I own a detailing business, so I have a deep respect for anyone in any type of service industry, auto or whatever, but I also have this little thing about customer service and respect to one's property.

Back on topic, I have never had anyone ever touch my towels, etc. Probably because I'm big and can knock their head off! J/K

If you think about it, that's pretty messed up if a customer (in particular, one that doesn't know you well), just goes over to your equipment and starts taking stuff. Just imagine, "Hey honey, Rufus crapped on the lawn again! Oh well, let me grap one of Avy's towels and pick this up." :rofl

When i used to be a cable technician, i remember this one time a customer grabbed some tools out of my van and then instead of putting them back, he handed them to ME to put back!! THATS wrong. I was pissed and I let him know it. He had the audacity to call my supervisor but my supervisor told him flat out that I had every right to tell him off. That's the moment i started having every bit of respect for my supervisor :D

LOL!!! What would he have grabbed tools from your van for? Unless you specifically asked him to grab something for you, he would have no reason nor right to go anywhere near your van and your equipment/tools. :boot

lol i might be the only person here that trusts their mechanic, because i know several people that work at the dealership (including the guy that usually works on my car). But as for the microfiber thing I would just put a sign up that say so not touch. It just seems that common sence isn't so common, I think its okay for the customer to watch, but when they get hands on thats when you have to tell them off.
