Customer Belonings

ok, ya'll tell the truth now, what do you do with loose change you find?

It's widely accepted in my city that loose change can just be pocketed (the other detail shops in my area have been doing so for years). Honestly, if I see change in the ash tray, glovebox, etc, I put it in a small bag with the customer belongings. If a shop vac sucks up coins when vacuuming under the seats, there isn't too much I can do about that. In either case, customers know this when they drop their vehicles off (it's listed as part of the sign in form).

Put it in a cup and leave it in the cup holder. Makes a great impression on the customer, and it's the right thing to do.

As far as bags go, for something cheap, you want "t-shirt" bags. Look for a bulk supplier, like U-Line. You can get 1000 for ~$35.
