Current storm..

Hah, you couldn't hardly see the Honda! This was the first year I've been able to garage both cars, I'll say I hope to never go without that!

I had Ultima PGP on my snowblower and the snow had trouble sticking to it.

Cool. I keep thinking about grabbing a spray wax and covering the blade between sessions but figured it wouldn't last long/ waste of product.

Have you you seen the rubber paddle modification you can bolt onto a snowblowers impeller, Pat? I'm thinking about moding my dad's snowblower to help with clogs. For example:

Heck yeah! The Honda is my daily driver/ winter car so it sits outside 24/7 while my GQ stays tucked away and salt free :)

That's pretty impressive. I wonder how complicated it is to do.

From what I've seen it looks pretty simple and only a matter of attaching a thick piece of rubber to each impeller blade so it's just touching the impeller chute. I'm going to do it and report back!

6". You lightweights. I'm in Northern Shenandoah Valley, which they say is the epicenter. Forecast here is 18-30, National Guard already bringing equipment in.

The official snow total here was 38". Multiple amateur people around here had it at 42" Even NWS said probably correct but they only go with the official readings.

Well I tried to find a tire shop after replacing shocks, ball joints, and all tie rod ends. I used Google maps (since new to the area) and it had the wrong location.

Needless to say 4x4 doesn't do any good when you loose traction. Slid off the side of a steep hill and ended up in two trees. Took two trucks to wench out to minimize damage.

You think some compounding would fix this?

I was thankful all glass intact and fully drivable. Just had to water extract the seats as a full traveler of coffee went everywhere. There was an inch inside the console.

Be safe out there!

Jeeze, that must have been terrible moment! Glad you're ok and the truck wasn't totaled.
Your not kidding. I was very fourtanate. I'm taking it to Maryland, and my brother does body work. So he will check it.

We are travelling out of country for three weeks in April. I'll get him to fix then and possibly re-spray the whole truck. Good thing is he is as picky as I am.

This place is not near as bad for snow removal. Still have the driveway. But not nearly as big. The fire hall that backs up to it plows the lot which is a big plus. Just push the snow past the mouth of the driveway. The front i had to clear the walkway to the street. Worse part is walking thru the snow in the yard. At the old place it would have been crippling. I dont even know if i could have pulled in the driveway friday night. And saturday we would have been calling a plow service for the driveway.

Never saw this before, this is exactly what my old Craftsman blower needs.

:)

UPS just dropped off the rubber strip and self drilling screws I'll use to modify the blower's impellers with:

I'll report back on how installation goes, difficulty level, if I recommend the modification etc..
